The Assistant Superintendent actively participates in providing day-to-day leadership for all department employees to improve safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost control, and production for the Power/Recovery department. - Managing and communicating the overall balance of the mill steam and liquor inventory.
- Implement process improvement projects to optimize equipment and reduce downtime.
- Optimize recovery boiler operation and power generation to maximize pulp production and reduce downtime and costs.
- Communicate with other department managers to optimize mill production.
- Promote team concepts with supervisors and operators to ensure continuity in reaching common production goals.
- Directly communicating with Maintenance team and area planners on maintenance tasks in the Power Area.
- Collaboration and management of direct reports (hourly and salary).
- Promote ISO standards throughout department.

- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in Power & Recovery
