Description:

 This position is responsible for maintaining the campground's facilities, grounds, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees. This position performs a variety of maintenance, repair, landscaping, and preventative maintenance tasks while providing excellent customer service to campers. 

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on campground buildings, cabins, bathhouses, offices, and recreational facilities.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, irrigation, and mechanical systems within the scope of training and experience.
  • Maintain campsites, roads, trails, fences, picnic areas, and common spaces.
  • Mow grass, trim trees and shrubs, remove debris, and perform general landscaping duties.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and campground staff.
  • Repair picnic tables, fire rings, benches, signs, playground equipment, and other campground amenities.
  • Monitor and maintain campground utilities, including water, sewer, electrical hookups, and waste disposal systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on maintenance equipment, golf carts, utility vehicles, and tools.
  • Assist with seasonal opening and closing of campground facilities.
  •  Follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Complete work orders accurately and maintain maintenance records
  • Assist with emergency situations as needed, including weather-related events and utility outages.
  • Provide courteous, professional service to guests and help resolve maintenance-related concerns.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, landscaping, construction, or a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair techniques.
  • Ability to safely operate lawn equipment, power tools, hand tools, tractors, utility vehicles, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
