How the Cloud Architect Will Make an Impact
  • Support IT modernization projects from requirements definition through planning, integration, testing, and transition.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to mature prototypes, modernization sprints, and enterprise capability improvements.
  • Develop cloud and hybrid-cloud architecture recommendations that support secure modernization and mission scalability.
  • Coordinate cloud design decisions with cybersecurity, network, application, and infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with USPACOM J6 stakeholders, service components, mission partners, and GDIT team members to resolve technical challenges.
  • Prepare clear technical documentation, briefings, status inputs, and recommendations for customer and internal leadership.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Education: BA/BS degree required to be considered
  • Required Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience supporting the role, mission area, or equivalent DoW/enterprise IT environment.
  • Required Technical Skills: cloud architecture; secure cloud migration; hybrid cloud design; automation; security and compliance; modernization roadmaps.
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, technical writing, customer engagement, and ability to coordinate across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and mission partner teams.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience supporting USPACOM, combatant command, service component, or joint/coalition mission environments. Experience working in government site environments and coordinating with military and civilian stakeholders. Cloud certification from AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or DoW cloud ecosystem experience.

The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $179,400. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
