Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate surface drill rigs (CAT MD6200, Epiroc SmartROC T45, or similar)
- Drill blast holes to plan (depth, angle, collar, pattern)
- Work with top hammer and DTH drilling systems
- Complete hole logs and support pattern QA/QC
- Operate safely and work independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in civil or surface mining work, ideally around drill and blast crews, or the motivation to learn drill and blast operations from the ground up
- Experience with Epiroc T-45's, CAT 6200 & Trimble Ground Works preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
- Ability to work rotations, shifts, and overtime
- Valid driver's license and driver's abstract
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on uneven terrain
- Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to work up to 12 hour rotating day/night shifts in all weather conditions
