Job description

THE PART-TIME HOURLY POSITION ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN KIDS COLLEGE/TEEN SCENE
POSITION: Kids College Counselor, I and II (Part-Time Summer)
Description of Duties: Responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of participants in Kids College and Teen Scene. Working with kids, instructors, and program administration to constantly maintain the safety and well-being of children attending camp. Assist Kids College and Teen Scene instructors with daily camp activities. Assist in supervising children during early care, morning and afternoon camp sessions, lunch breaks, and late care. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and elevate complex issues to the Assistant Director as needed. Be a positive example for campers while encouraging a fun education environment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. High school juniors are eligible to apply. Applicants who can show completion of the 10th grade may also be considered. Responsible, reliable, organized, good communication, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills. Conflict resolution skills.
Desired Qualifications: Two (2) months working with children, and first aid certification.
Rate of Pay: $12.00 per hour. $12.50 for prior RSC Kid's College work experience.
An unofficial degree conferring transcripts must be received by this office for formal consideration; however, should an offer of employment be extended, official transcripts are required.
All finalists may be subject to a background check and/or drug test.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
