Job description

Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructor (Miller CC)

Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified Pickleball Camp Instructor to lead pickleball camps for children ages 5โ€“12 at Miller.

This camp introduces participants to the basic strokes, rules, and strategies of pickleball. A cross between tennis, badminton, and ping pong, pickleball enjoys a large and growing community of players in the Pacific Northwest. Programs are designed for beginning and intermediate players.

Hourly Wage: $27.00โ€“$28.50
Status: Part-time, Seasonal
Location โ€“ Miller Community CenterSchedule
  • Monday โ€“ Friday

  • Camp session options may include:

    • 9:30 a.m. โ€“ 12:30 p.m.

    • 1:00 p.m. โ€“ 4:30 p.m.

    • 9:30 a.m. โ€“ 4:00 p.m.

Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructor Responsibilities:

  • Instruct participants ages 5โ€“12 in basic pickleball strokes, rules, and strategies

  • Lead safe, engaging, and age-appropriate camp activities

  • Supervise participants and maintain a positive and inclusive environment

  • Set up and break down equipment and activity areas

  • Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors

  • Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures

Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructorย Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience instructing or coaching pickleball or similar racket/paddle sports

  • Experience working with children in a recreational or camp setting

  • Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner
