School Security Officer
This School Security Officer position is a front-line school safety role focused on maintaining a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors in a school setting in Rockford, IL.
Location: Rockford, IL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, day shift (primarily)
Pay Rate: $17/hr
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years old
- Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
- 20-hour security training course certifiacte
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Authorization to work in the United States
Your day would likely include:
- Patrolling hallways, stairwells, entrances, and school grounds
- Monitoring visitors and controlling access to the building
- Watching security cameras and responding to suspicious activity
- Assisting students, staff, and visitors
- Reporting incidents and documenting patrols
