Job description

Job Summary
The Safety Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support to the Safety Department under the direction of the Director of Safety. This position is responsible for helping establish, maintain, and monitor key safety processes and records across the company, including truck camera compliance, safety dashboards, warehouse training records, and daily inspection documentation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Review daily Safety Inbox cameras for Harsh Event compliance with K&M standards
2. Review and maintain compliant forklift and picker licenses for all locations.
3. Follow up with appropriate locations and personnel to resolve camera-related compliance issues.
4. Provide administrative and organizational support to the Safety Department.
5. Assist with data entry, report preparation, filing, and other safety-related administrative responsibilities.
6. Assist with maintaining weekly Warehouse inspection records & Safety briefing records.
7. Assist with Safety PPE, material purchases & distribution.
8. Assist with PPE tracking records.
9. Assist with OSHA training records.
10. Support company safety initiatives and special projects assigned by the Director of Safety.
11. Maintain Weekly Safety Dashboard updates. (Level II)
12. Assist with new driver Score Card tracker (Level II)
13. Assist SSMs with SOP revisions (Level II)
14. Assist with OSHA standard requirement reviews (Level III)
15. Assist in training video development for Safety. (Level III)
16. Support company goals and uphold K&M Values.
17. Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.
Job Requirements
1. Must work and operate in a dependable and accurate manner.
2. Strong functioning knowledge of all Microsoft Office interfaces.
3. Strong functioning knowledge of Excel
4. Must exhibit a positive and helpful attitude that reflects K&M Values.
5. Ability to organize data and paperwork.
6. Holds working ability to think and navigate through complex situations.
7. Ability to communicate effectively written & oral.
8. Ability to work in a professional environment that provides excellent customer service.

Safety Support Specialist I Minimum Qualifications
§ High School Graduate or equivalent.
§ Satisfactory testing on entry level skills
Safety Support Specialist - II Minimum Qualifications
§ Qualifications for Safety Support Specialist I; plus
§ Two years' experience in related field
Safety Support Specialist - III Minimum Qualifications
§ Qualifications for Safety Support Specialist II; plus
§ Two-year business/safety degree or relevant experience
