Job Description:

AH-64E Operational Flight Training (OFT) Operator and Role Player

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is the Prime contractor for the Flight School Training Support Services (FSTSS) program, which supports the Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE). Located in Daleville, Alabama, GDIT owns and operates the facilities that provide flight simulator training.

GDIT has an immediate opening in their Operations department for an AH-64E OFT Operator and Role Player. This position will require working non-traditional hours and weekends to support customer training requirements.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

You will be responsible for the following (but not limited to):

  • Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains training scenario for software systems quality operating methods, processes, and procedures.

  • Conducts operations of flight simulator and provides role player support for combat multipliers, to include Unmanned Aerial Systems.

  • Coordinates appropriate measures to ensure product quality.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree

  • Required Experience: 6+ years of aviation experience

  • Required Technical Skills:

    • Aviation Mission Survivability and Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS) experience

    • Flight simulation operation experience

    • An understanding of Semi-Automated Forces (OneSAF), military Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), and the employment of the AH-64E airframe.

    • Customer service orientated mindset to provide the highest level of service and support.

    • Skilled in personal computer, Microsoft 365 software and data repository software.

    • Good planning and organizational skills.

    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Department of War Aviation Training Course

    • U.S. Army Aviation Mission Survivability Course

    • U.S. Army AH-64 Qualification Course

    • U.S. Army Master Gunner Course

    • Simulation Systems test, verification, and validation experience

    • Simulation Instructor/Operator and Semi-Automated Forces experience

  • Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $55,250 - $74,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
