Job description

GardaWorld Security Services is Now Hiring a Surveillance Security Officer. Ready to suit up as a Surveillance Security Guard. What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens.

Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail. As a Security Officer - Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc. Site Location and Type: Arlington, VA / Multi Story High Profile Building Scheduling will be based on site needs.

Only able to provide 8-24hrs per week. Candidate must have the ability to walk and stand for 8+ hours. Candidate must have the ability to work weekends and overnights as well as other shifts when needed.

Holidays may be needed to work. Days on/ off will vary based on site needs. Not guaranteed full time hours.

Author highly detailed, accurate, and legally robust incident reports immediately following any security anomalies, medical emergencies, or facility breaches

Manage high-volume access control and alarm monitoring systems, verify visitor identification, issue and print corporate badges, and strictly enforce building entry protocols to prevent tailgating. Conduct active CCTV camera monitoring and remain fully prepared to execute precise, immediate protocols upon receiving any system alarms or security alerts. Memorize and maintain a flawless understanding of response protocols for all system alerts, fire alarms, duress alarms, and emergency evacuation steps.

Maintain seamless, professional radio and walkie-talkie communication, adhering to proper codes and clear transmission etiquette at all times. Collaborate directly with property management to streamline parking requests, coordinate facility logistics, and manage authorized access for tenants and guests. Execute strategic crowd control and monitoring measures during high-profile corporate events to ensure participant safety and orderly foot traffic.

Maintain unwavering situational awareness and physical oversight of all facility entrances, exits, and perimeters while upholding strict uniform etiquette and a professional demeanor at all times. Successfully cross-train across all security posts and desk roles, demonstrating total operational agility to seamlessly pivot between duties as required by the site. Qualifications of Surveillance Security Guard You have a high school education or equivalent (GED) You're able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process You have Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience of at least 2 years or more You have an active Virginia DCJS security license You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements Must have experience utilizing Microsoft applications or Google applications, and Security Systems.
