Job description

Job Title: Travel Cable Technician

Location: Chicago, IL 
Pay rate: $18-21/HR

Position Summary: Anistar is seeking experienced Cable Technicians for a long term contract opportunity to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables. This is a travel position so candidates must be comfortable spending time on the road. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pulling/routing cat 5e/cat 6 cable 
  • Building out MDF/IDFs
  • Installation of Wireless Access Points (WAPs)
  • CCTV camera installation 
  • Install J Hooks, D-rings, cable tray, and other supports
  • Read blue prints

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial cabling.
  • Experience pulling and terminating cables.
  • Ability to climb ladders and insert cable in Access Points.
  • Must be comfortable working from boom/scissor lifts at 40+ feet 
  • Must be willing to travel as needed and work overnight shift
