HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self- motivated Camera System Support Engineer to join it in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.

Location: Mountain View, CA / Onsite

Role/Responsibilities

  • Desktop Procurement & Hardware Upgrades
  • Request, procure, and set up high-performance workstations.
  • Install and verify the performance of specialized GPUs for imaging tasks.
  • Install dedicated Ethernet cards (NICs) for industrial camera connectivity.
  • Imaging System Setup & Configuration:
  • Configure workstations for machine vision, including securing camera drivers.
  • Inventory, check, and test cameras, lenses, and cabling to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Physical Camera Installation & Calibration:
  • Physically mount cameras in designated locations based on engineering plans.
  • Perform precise Focus, Field of View (FoV), and Exposure adjustments.
  • Run and manage all camera-related cabling.
  • Facilities Coordination:
  • Install desktop holder brackets and necessary structural supports for cameras within the facility.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT hardware assembly (GPU, PCIe card installation).
  • Experience with machine vision cameras and cabling
  • Ability to work with hand tools for hardware mounting and cable management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware/software connectivity.
  • Experience in camera installing and capable of maintaining it regularly for the Bionic setup.
  • Background in optics, physics, or imaging technology is preferred.
  • Experience in a production or laboratory facility environment is preferred.
  • Experience in Linux OS and Python Scripting
  • Experience in network/IT issue troubleshooting

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: 55,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $84,000 per year

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
