Job-Type: Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00pm *Occasional weekends and nights

Full-Time employees receive our comprehensive compensation package which includes 100% employer paid Medical insurance with by-up options for your dependents. The pay range for this position is $22.95-$32.40 paid hourly, offers will be based on the successful candidate's experience.  

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup of scientific instrumentation and equipment for testing and experiments. 
  • Accurately log samples and maintain detailed records of collected materials. 
  • Perform materials sampling and construction materials testing of soils, reinforced steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing and hot mix asphalt using scientific equipment to determine their properties. 
  • Analyze and interpret test data and report findings accurately. 
  • Support the investigation of issues, identify problems, and suggest corrective actions. 
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability 
  • Knowledge of ASTM standards, ACI and Caltrans standards 
  • Conduct material testing to determine acceptance of various materials and products used in highway project development and construction 
  • Have and maintain a clean driving record 
  • Clearly write lab material/lab reports and test results 
Education and Experience 
  • Experience in construction inspection and materials testing with the ability to observe work adhering to applicable specifications and accepted standards/methods. 
  • No certifications are required for this position 
  • High school degree or equivalent 
  • 0 to 1 years of experience
