Job description

Murray-Calloway County Hospital seeks a certified Emergency Medical Technical for a PRN (as needed) position. This position has rotating shifts.

Job Description
The EMT is responsible for the pre-hospital treatment and transport of the sick or injured of all age groups. Uses appropriate skills and knowledge on the scene and in the ambulance to best protect and treat the patient. Calmly makes appropriate decisions in all situations as to treatment, transportation and extrication. Understands limitations and stays within those limitations when treating or discussing treatment of his/her patient. Uses equipment assigned to incumbent appropriately so as to not injure patient or abuse equipment. Possess the ability to assess the patient and situation so as to determine actions needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • EMT Certification for State of KY
  • Previous experience as an EMT preferred.
