Description

Season runs from September 2026 through April 2027

Takes numerous calls, from residents and outside golfers reserving tee times for the Associations' seven golf courses. Works under the supervision of the Golf Operations Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job's overall responsibilities.)

  • Provide tee time reservation assistance and general information for seven golf courses.
  • Must be able to book, modify, check, or cancel tee times.
  • Must be well versed in tee sheet setup and management.
  • Must be comfortable handling multiple incoming calls and placing in a queue/hold.
  • Must be familiar with the golf courses, their activities, and schedules in order to answer questions regarding upcoming events and course availability.
  • Promote the facility programs, events, and image to the customers of the facility at all times.
  • Provide welcoming "first contact" with each customer or groups of customers and ensure they have an enjoyable experience booking a tee time.
  • Accurate recordkeeping of the number of phone calls received and made on a daily basis.
  • Communicate with the golf shop(s) on a regular basis.
  • Assist customers with any on-course problems โ€“ alert appropriate supervisor/manager, if necessary.
  • Additional office work may be assigned during the normal work shift.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Sufficient Training and education to demonstrate possession of required knowledge, skills and qualifications are required.

LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS Must have the ability to read, write and speak English; read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; must be able to work at a computer terminal for long periods at a time; and talk and hear with several other people in a room. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to read small pieces of paper with handwriting on it.
