Serving over 70,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, heart care, women's health, and a family birth center. Job Summary and Responsibilities
The California Hospital Medial Center Early Care and Education programs provide early care and education services for infants toddlers and pre-school children. Staff within these programs are charged with nurturing and stimulating the social emotional language cognitive and physical development of each child. Center-based Early Care and Education programs are open year round from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m Monday though Friday. Duties include:
  • Planning and preparing daily classroom activities.
  • Direct instructional services.
  • Maintaining high quality classroom environments
  • Daily record keeping.

Job Requirements
Required
  • 2 years of experience working with children birth to five years.
  • BA in Child Development or a minimum of 24 Child Development units required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid training required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills preferred.
  • California Department of Education Teacher Permit preferred
