Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively searching for a Calibration Specialist II. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark on a growing organization. Successful candidates will possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree and must maintain Arthrex Manufacturing sterilization process in accordance with Quality Systems Requirements. Schedule: Mon-Fri 7AM-330PM 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow established laboratory safety and operational procedures.
  • Perform all responsibilities of Calibration specialist I.
  • Schedule outside contractors to perform Calibrations.
  • Conduct or organize calibration activities for mechanical, electrical, and linear equipment according to established procedures to maintain calibration status.
  • Schedule and coordinate calibrations among various departments.
  • Calibrate - Enter data into calibration management system.
  • Preventive maintenance and repair - Perform repair and preventive maintenance on gages/equipment as needed.
  • Prepare calibration reports and certificates.
  • Track and maintain all equipment status.
  • Initiate NCR for all out of tolerance equipment as required.
  • Manage lost equipment status and calibration interval adjustment within calibration management system.
  • Ensure all calibration is in accordance with approved Procedures.
  • Document all activities in a legible manner following established formats and procedures.
  • Represent the Calibration function during regulatory inspections.
     

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing setting required
  • 2 years experience with calibration of inspection equipment/hand gages required.
  • 2 years experience with Geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) required
     

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Good mechanical aptitude. Ability to read blue prints. Good understanding of Calibration principles preferred. PMEL or equivalent training preferred

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Experience with SAP or equivalent Calibration Software, Laser Micrometer and Quality Control Inspection Equipment preferred
