Job description

The Collision Sales Consultant Must be detailed and efficient in writing a complete estimate and completing supplements for vehicles brought in for body or paint repairs. They will work with insurance companies, vendors and team members to ensure customer satisfaction. Good interpersonal skills are required.

The ideal candidate has a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, at least 4 +years’ experience as a Collision Center/Body Shop Estimator and 2 years BMW or high line preferred. Must have a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record. He or she must have great communication and customer service skills, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude. Candidates must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions and safely maneuver vehicles in tight and small spaces. Previous experience is preferred.

  • Meet and greet customers, help making insurance claims and prepare estimates/photos for upload and approval.
  • Reconcile and prepare for invoicing that match approved estimates. Contact owner of completion to communicate when they can expect the repair to be completed.
  • Maintain contact with customer while vehicle is in the repair process, maintaining communication regarding status of repairs.
  • Coordinates daily collision repair production to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
  • Notify customers of any old damage found on vehicle that may not be accident related.
  • This position interacts daily with Customers, Service Advisors, Technicians, Parts Associates, and other team members.
  • Prepare and submit Warranty Claims-Familiarity with BMW’s Warranty system.
  • Problem solving, reporting research results, attention to detail.
  • Continually learn about product updates, features, accessories to better assist customer needs.
  • Continuously learn new technical information with formal training to stay informed with rapidly changing repair process in the autmotive industry.
  • Establish personal goals that are consistent with the dealerships standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, coworkers and vendors.
  • Product knowledge & safety.
  • Patience and high energy personality, computer literate management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
