Job description

HIRING IMMEDIATELY for routes in Maumelle & North Little Rock

(All route deliveries can begin within 20-25 minutes of terminal!)

Looking for highly energetic people who like to be active.

Box truck or stepvan experience driving a plus.

CDL a plus, but not required.

ETCH Transport Company in Central AR partners with FedEx Ground to deliver packages effectively and efficiently to business and residential customers. Due to exponential industry growth, we have an immediate need for multiple energetic Delivery Drivers. Due to operating commercial vehicles on state/federal roadways, this has been determined to be a safety sensitive position in accordance with FMCSA and Act 593 of Arkansas law. Background check and DOT drug testing is required.

Due to the strenuous and physically demanding nature of the position, those who thrive most as drivers are energetic and have increased stamina. A willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures and transportation laws is a must. Also, being good-natured, flexible and adaptable to last minute changes in schedules and routes is important.

Primary duties/responsibilities:

•      Safe operation, maintenance, and repairs of a commercial vehicle of either a 22-foot step van or 16-26-foot box truck (included but not limited to fueling the vehicle) in accordance FMCSA requirements, state, and federal traffic laws. Including pre-trip and post trip inspections and required maintenance.  

  • ·  Loading, transporting, and accurately delivering packages in a safe and timely manner. Adhering to assigned routes and following strict pickup and delivery deadline windows.

•      Utilizing tools such as iPad (navigation/routing software-Groundcloud) and scanner (package delivery/tracking software).

•      Inspecting and organizing orders prior to leaving the terminal for daily route. Lifting and handling packages weighing up

to 150 pounds.

•      Communicating throughout the day with management and updating delivery schedule as necessary.

Job Requirements:

•      Must be 21 years of age or older, with a valid driver's license, clean background check, and pass a DOT Drug Test

(pre-hire and randomly).

•      Must have unexpired or be able to obtain DOT medical examiner's card before operating a vehicle.

•      At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred and prior package delivery driving experience a

plus.

•      Pass the ETCH Transport Company’s driving test.

•      Strong organizational, customer service, and collaborative teamwork are necessary to be successful in this position.

  • ETCH Transport operates 7 days per week. Schedules vary but drivers must be able to be at work by 8:00AM every day and have availability to work weekends.

•      Familiarity with the Little Rock, AR and the surrounding metro area desired.

ETCH Transport Company offers a benefits package to full-time employees after completion of the 60-day waiting period. Benefit offerings include healthcare, dental and vision options at a shared cost with the company. If selected, benefit coverage will begin 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.

ETCH Transport Company, Inc. is an independent service provider for FedEx servicing territory in Central Arkansas and operating out of the Mabelvale, AR FedEx terminal. ETCH delivers to six zip codes primarily in Maumelle and North Little Rock.
In all US markets, FedEx Ground outsources the transfer of packages up to 150 pounds from the local terminal to individual residences or businesses.
