Under the general direction of the Supervisor I, the CalFresh Analyst II is responsible for a variety of complex activities associated with CalFresh policy development, implementation and interpretation. In addition, the Analyst II is involved in legislative bill analysis, special projects requiring research and analysis, and proactively provides recommendations to management for program improvement. The Analyst II demonstrates the ability to work independently, as well as in a group setting, and maintains effective and ongoing communication with management.
Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor I, the CalFresh Analyst I, is responsible for a variety of entry level analyst activities associated with CalFresh policy development, implementation and interpretation. In accordance with skill level, the Analyst I is also involved in legislative bill analysis and special projects requiring research and analysis. The Analyst I demonstrates the ability to work independently, as well as in a group setting, and maintains effective and ongoing communication with management.
Occasional travel and overtime may be required.

Working Conditions
This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N-22-25 the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required.
Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.

The Policy and Employment Bureau in CalFresh Branch is the responsible for providing policy and program guidance for California's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
