What You'll Do:
  • Prepare computer-generated civil engineering drawings and exhibits according to established company standards and procedures
  • Develop layouts, detail drawings, sketches, diagrams, and construction plans for permitting and construction projects
  • Create and revise drawings for civil engineering projects related to commercial development, subdivisions, and site planning
  • Complete detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specifications, and written or verbal instructions using computer-aided drafting programs
  • Assist design team members with preparation of construction plans, exhibits, and graphics and complete simple calculations with guidance
  • Follow company CADD standards for layering, sheet layout, and drafting procedures
  • Communicate with engineers, designers, and project managers regarding schedules, updates, and project progress
  • Continue developing proficiency with CADD software for coordinate geometry, earthwork calculations, and hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks
  • Provide occasional input regarding company graphic standards and drafting procedures

What You Bring:
  • High school diploma or technical school training with coursework in computer-aided drafting, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience using AutoCAD in an engineering or design environment
  • Experience using Civil 3D preferred
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and appropriately prioritize workflow
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines
  • Client service-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
