CAD/Revit Drafter - Level II (Hourly - $42.50 to $52.00) Position Title: CAD/Revit Drafter - Level II Reports To: BIM Manager Location: On-Site (Client Facility, National Capital Region) Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; must meet federal background investigation requirements Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 0730-1630 (excluding federal holidays) Position Summary: The CAD/Revit Drafter - Level II supports the modeling and drafting needs of a federal BIM* program by generating accurate 2D and 3D drawings, integrating design changes, and preparing construction documentation using AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit. This role contributes directly to the creation and maintenance of Master Record Drawings (MRDs) and participates in modeling projects, drawing conversions, and quality assurance processes

Core Responsibilities: Draft and revise 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D Revit models based on sketches, redlines, and markups from engineers and project managers. Convert legacy CAD or MicroStation files into Revit, ensuring compliance with current modeling and metadata standards. Develop Revit Families and maintain drawing blocks for consistent application across projects.

Assist in reality capture integrations by incorporating point cloud data into Revit. Document equipment locations, room designations, and life safety elements in accordance with facility standards. Support data integration efforts by attaching project attributes and relevant metadata to model elements.

Maintain drawing standards in line with BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and applicable industry standards (e.g., A/E/C CAD Standards). Participate in quality control checks and correct any drafting errors or compliance issues. Coordinate with team members and government stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and usability of all deliverables

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a CAD/Revit Drafter within architectural, engineering, or construction environments. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting, layering, and annotation) and Revit (3D modeling, plan generation, and family development). Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and facility floor plans.

Familiarity with BIM practices and drafting standards required in federal or institutional projects. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established workflows and QC standards. Associate degree or technical diploma in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field (preferred).

*BIM - Building Information Modeling (BIM) applies across U.S. federal government agencies for planning, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining buildings and infrastructure.
