CAD PLM Administrators are professionals responsible for managing and maintaining Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems within organizations. They ensure that these systems, which are crucial for designing and tracking product information, run smoothly and efficiently. Their duties often include user support, system configuration, software updates, data migration, and troubleshooting technical issues. By bridging the gap between engineering teams and IT, they help streamline workflows and improve collaboration across departments.

How does a CAD PLM administrator typically interact with engineering and IT teams on a daily basis?

A CAD PLM Administrator frequently serves as a bridge between engineering and IT departments, ensuring seamless integration of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems with CAD tools. Daily tasks often include troubleshooting user issues, managing system configurations, and supporting data migrations. Administrators may also work closely with engineers to customize workflows, implement new PLM features, and train team members. This collaborative role requires strong communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving cross-departmental challenges.
