WHO IS LEE DOUGLAS INTERIORS

Lee Douglas is an interior design firm specializing in space planning and drafting, construction management, including new builds and remodels, offering building products such as lighting and flooring as well as final styling. In addition to our design specialty, we have two types of retail stores. Lee Douglas Interiors, that offers furniture, artwork, and accessories, and our sister store, The Loft, which is a themed store that sells finishing touches for every room in the house.

POSTION OBJECTIVE

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting shoppers, and achieving sales goals for the store.  This position involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, explaining the products and services we provide, and recommending products while maintaining a well organized and inviting store environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or sales training is a plus
  • Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and individually
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering excellent service
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Knowledge of the products and services offered
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced retail environment


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a welcoming atmosphere
  • Assist customers in finding products, answering questions, and offering product knowledge
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs
  • Guide customers to products relevant to their preferences and needs
  • Promote and upsell products and services to maximize sales and meet or exceed sales targets
  • Stay updated on products, promotions, and upcoming events
  • Operate point-of-sales system and handle transactions
  • Assist in tagging, merchandising, and restocking product
  • Help maintain a clean and organized store, including visual merchandising
  • Process returns according to company policies and procedures
  • Relay valuable customer feedback to Retail Manager
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and surrounding holidays

SPECIAL DEMANDS

Retail positions require candidates to sit and operate at a computer for extended periods of time. Due to our industry and widespread client base, on occasion, overtime or travel may be required. Lee Douglas Interiors operates as Team LDI and often requires assistance from multiple departments on tasks in the warehouse or throughout the facility, candidates must be able to perform in environments of varying temperature and noise conditions. Positions require organization and inventory of merchandise and property; candidates must be able to perform on their feet and lift and carry merchandise for transfers and cataloging.
