Interns typically assist in creating, modifying, and analyzing digital models and drawings for engineering, architecture, or manufacturing projects. This role helps interns develop essential technical skills, understand industry standards, and build their professional portfolios. CAD internships are valuable stepping stones for careers in design, engineering, and related fields.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a CAD intern?

To thrive as a CAD Intern, a solid understanding of engineering or architectural principles, coursework in drafting or design, and familiarity with CAD software are essential. Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit is typically required, and knowledge of industry standards can be advantageous. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and a willingness to learn help interns excel in collaborative project environments.
