Senior CAD / Product Design Engineer – Motorsports

IndeeSource | On-site, Murrieta, CA

IndeeSource is currently a small, tight-knit team of experienced racers and builders specializing in rapid product development for motorsports and performance vehicles. We take ideas from sketches all the way to finished, track-ready parts faster than most shops can deliver a quote.


What You’ll Own

- Collaborate directly with in-house CNC Machinist and Fabricator to develop parts and assemblies from concept through prototype to production-ready files. 

- Complete 3D modeling, assemblies, detailed drawings, GD&T, and DFM using SolidWorks and Fusion 360- our primary CAD tools. 

- Focus on real-world motorsports requirements: tolerances, materials, lightening, and balancing performance with manufacturability and speed. 

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously — from quick-turn items to larger development work. 

- Join the team as we grow into the leading resource for motorsports and performance parts development in Southern California and beyond.

-You’ll have direct ownership of your work— your designs go straight to the machines for fast iteration and minimal red tape.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a mechanically strong CAD engineer with a genuine background in motorsports design - professional or hobby-level experience with 2 or 4 wheel vehicles is highly preferred. Experience designing performance parts that reach the track or market is a strong plus.

Candidate should be proficient in SolidWorks and/or Fusion 360, comfortable working at speed, and able to think on your feet in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates are intellectually curious, results-focused, self-directed, and resourceful.

Compensation & Benefits

- Starting at $35/hour (with room for higher based on experience and demonstrated skills). 

- Potential for competitive performance bonuses tied to project deliverables.

- Full benefits package, 401k with matching, paid time off-1 week after 12 months, 2 weeks after year 24.

This is a hands-on, shop-based role — not a traditional desk position. Your designs will be built and tested quickly, with access to all the latest technologies in reverse engineering, 3D printing, CNC machining, Sheet metal cutting and forming
