Job description

Job Position :CAD Manager
Location: Englewood, CO
Position Summary:
We are seeking a CAD Manager for our Englewood, Colorado office. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating company drawing standards, providing Civil 3D training and support to staff, assisting in the production of drawings and figures, and supporting the overall design process.
Responsibilities:
  • Strong Autodesk Civil3D skills, including but not limited to the creation of surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors and assemblies, and grading objects and groups.
  • Review and update Company CAD Standards and AutoDesk templates and blocks as needed.
  • Coordinate with Information Technology to plan and execute Autodesk software updates and rollouts.
  • Work with Design and Technical Leads to review and improve the QA/QC process and will maintain a technical Skills Matrix to identify user skills sets that can be used by Project Managers for project team planning purposes.
  • Assist end-users with technical issues and provide troubleshooting support as required.
  • Review and recommend third-party applications and solutions as needed.
  • Periodic Travel to other NewFields offices as needed to providing on-boarding, training or technical assistance on an as-needed basis.
  • Support onboarding activities for new hires
  • The Autodesk CAD Manager will remain active in production of drawings and figures.

Qualifications:
  • 5-15 years of industry-related or industry adjacent CAD design experience
  • Extensive and thorough knowledge of engineering design in the heavy civil and mining industry, including AutoCAD Civil3D and GIS-based Software. Familiarity with land survey techniques and coordinate reference systems is highly desired.
