Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Pastry Counter Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while serving pastries, desserts, and beverages in a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. You will act as the face of the bakery, ensuring each guest has a pleasant and efficient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers warmly and assist with selecting pastries, cakes, and beverages.
  • Provide detailed information on menu items, including ingredients and allergens.
  • Serve pastries and beverages promptly and accurately.
  • Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and issue receipts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry counter, display cases, and seating area.
  • Restock pastry displays and supplies throughout the day.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines at all times.
  • Assist with taking, packaging take-out and custom orders for both of our concepts (The French Pantry and Little Miss Ha).
  • Communicate with bakers and kitchen staff regarding product availability or special requests.
  • Support daily opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a café, bakery, or food service environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
  • Basic math skills and experience handling cash or POS systems.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for pastries and customer interaction.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Work Schedule:
  • Shifts may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
