Job Summary and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Perform and assist floor employees in performing inbound receipts per documented processes as well as dispositioning non-conforming product, purchase order, or damaged shipments.
  • Lead the department in shipping orders and as required to meet customer delivery and quality level commitments
  • Insure outbound shipments are worked in line with our documented procedures and processes.
  • Lead safety efforts involving cable machinery and forklift operation
  • Assist in the maintenance of acceptable productivity and quality levels for floor associates to ensure the performance metrics of the business are met.
  • Ensure cable is prepared for shipment to prevent damage by carriers
  • Manage Steel Reel returns for credit and cable junk recycling
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory utilizing a Warehouse Management and Reporting System
  • Communicate any performance issues and observations to department supervisor.
  • Lead floor personnel in the inventory reporting, cycle counting, and reconciliation process.
  • Driving is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-3 years related experience and/or training in a distribution center environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of RF processes using Intermec RF scanning equipment
  • Experience using Exceed 4000 Warehouse Management System
