Low Voltage Cable Technician L2 L 3 (Copper & Fiber)

Build Critical Infrastructure

VectorUSA is seeking an entry level Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our growing team. If you’re skilled in Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber installations and want steady, full-day work on high-impact projects, this role is for you.

Our client has spent 36+ years delivering network solutions nationwide, supporting schools, hospitals, enterprises, and government agencies. Join a team where your work directly powers essential systems.

Schedule

Monday – Friday | ~6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

(Start and end times may vary slightly based on project and business needs)

Work Location & Travel

Field-based role – projects across Southern California

Work at a variety of sites across LA, Orange County, Inland Empire, and nearby areas. Travel is required based on project assignments.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Install, pull, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic cabling

Perform troubleshooting and certification testing

Read and follow blueprints and project specs

Maintain safe, clean job sites

Support project completion alongside field teams

Submit daily documentation

What You Bring

3+ year of low voltage cabling experience

Hands-on experience with terminations, punch-downs, pulling, and testing

Ability to read blueprints

Strong communication and professionalism on job sites

Reliable vehicle (must fit a 6’ ladder) + own tools

Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work in field conditions

Nice to Have:

Fiber termination experience (2–3 years preferred)

Experience using Fluke testers

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
