Job description

We are currently seeking a Micro-assembly Technician. This full-time contract opportunity offers a competitive pay range of $30.00–$33.00 per hour, depending on experience, with an 8-hour shift starting between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

Summary  
This position is ideal for a highly skilled, detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in assembling precision microelectronic components and working with ultra-small parts and assemblies. Candidates must possess strong mechanical abilities, excellent manual dexterity, and experience with electronics, cabling, soldering, hand tools, and precision assembly equipment. The role will also support Research & Development and Manufacturing Engineering in the introduction, improvement, and optimization of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities  
- Assemble precision microelectronic components and assemblies to established specifications.  
- Interpret and follow complex verbal and written manufacturing process instructions, diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.  
- Read and understand schematics, symbols, terminology, and assembly documentation.  
- Work with electronics, cabling, soldering, hand tools, and power tools.  
- Use microscopes for extended periods while working with ultra-small components and assemblies.  
- Assist Manufacturing Engineering in evaluating the manufacturability of new products and provide Design for Excellence (DFx) recommendations.  
- Assist R&D and Manufacturing Engineering with the introduction or modification of processes, programs, and fixtures used to produce microelectronic assemblies.  
- Help ensure assemblies can be reliably produced and consistently meet quality and specification requirements.  
- Manage and improve manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and productivity.  
- Utilize problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques to identify the cause of failures and help prevent recurrence.

Required Qualifications 
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.  
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in micro-assembly, microelectronics manufacturing, or a related precision manufacturing environment.  
- Strong hands-on experience working with ultra-small parts and precision assemblies.  
- Experience with electronics, cabling, soldering, and precision hand tools.  
- Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated problem-solving skills.  
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.  
- Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, symbols, and manufacturing instructions.  
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn and retrieve diagrams and documentation from various assembly platforms.  
- Hands-on experience operating and/or programming GPD dispense, MRSI component placement, or H&K bonding equipment.  
- 2–4 years of experience working with automated microelectronics assembly equipment.  
- Experience supporting process development, manufacturing engineering, or new product introduction.  
- Experience with root cause analysis and continuous process improvement.
