THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Security Systems Installer to join our growing team of professionals. This role involves installing and servicing access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems in commercial environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering high-quality installations that meet customer expectations and industry standards.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
Install and service access control systems, IP-based video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
Mount and wire devices including card readers, door contacts, electric strikes, maglocks, cameras, and motion detectors.
Pull, terminate, and label low voltage cabling (Cat5e/6, coax, shielded cable).
Program and configure field devices and system controllers.
Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics.
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
Maintain accurate documentation including as-built drawings, device lists, and installation reports.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customers to ensure successful project execution.
Adhere to company safety policies and industry best practices.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 to 3 years of experience installing low voltage security systems.
Familiarity with systems such as Lenel, CCURE, Feenics, Salto, Avigilon, Verkada, or similar platforms.
Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications.
Experience with device termination and system programming.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working on your feet throughout the day.
Willingness to travel locally and occasionally overnight.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
