Job Description:

As a Cable Technician specializing in structured cabling and security, you will play a crucial role in our team.

Structured Cabling:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure in new construction commercial environments, such as Data Centers.
  • Conducting maintenance on existing cabling systems and tenant improvement projects.
  • Test newly installed or relocated cables to ensure they comply with company specifications.
  • Installing wireless access routers, patch panels, and various internet technology devices.
  • Learning and executing troubleshooting procedures in accordance with company standards.
  • Installing cable support structures, including j-hooks, cable racks, and inner-duct.
  • Experience in installing and troubleshooting low voltage systems, with a preference for greater technical expertise.
  • Termination experience with Category 5, 5E, 6, 6a, fiber strands over 100, and copper.
  • Installation of overhead cable supports, J-Hooks, and cable running lines properly aligned with cable trays.
  • Proficiency in finish work, including the installation of faceplates and device labeling.

Requirements:

  • Conduct structured cabling, security/access control, and related cable system installations for large commercial projects.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and exhibit a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Preferred: Minimum of one year of professional experience; willing to train the right candidate.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a company-standard drug screen and background check.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
  • Available for 40+ hours per week.
  • Temporary role with targeted completion of mid-August with potential for extension.
