Job Title: Cable Assembler
Location: Orlando, FL
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Duration: 12-Month Consultant Assignment
Schedule: 4/10 Work Schedule (Monday-Thursday)
Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM EST

About the Role

As a Cable Assembler, you'll play a vital role in the manufacturing and assembly of complex cable harnesses and electronic systems that support cutting-edge aerospace and aviation programs. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help ensure that mission-critical products meet rigorous industry standards and perform reliably in demanding environments.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Build cable harnesses and assemblies using wiring diagrams and form boards
  • Perform soldering, crimping, connector assembly, and cable routing activities
  • Plug contacts into connectors and torque backshells according to specifications
  • Assemble products in accordance with IPC Class 3 quality standards
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions
  • Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, jigs, and other manufacturing equipment
  • Conduct continuity checks and verify assembly quality throughout the manufacturing process
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, rework, and modification of assemblies as needed
  • Participate in prototype and experimental assembly projects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Experience with cable harness assembly, soldering, crimping, and connector installation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and established manufacturing procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience
  • Completed WHMA-A-620 Training or current WHMA-A-620 Certification with demonstrated Class 3 workmanship
  • J-STD-001 Certification
  • Experience building cable harnesses in aerospace, aviation, defense, or electronics manufacturing environments
