Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Field Tech Associate who will play a critical role in ensuring the installation and maintenance of our internet services. This position is ideal for someone who can work independently, is self-motivated, and can handle all aspects of the job from start to finish. No prior industry experience is required, but candidates with relevant installation experience or certifications will be prioritized.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade wireless internet equipment and services for residential and commercial customers.
  • Perform solo installations for residential customers and Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs).
  • Route cables and wiring on the exterior of buildings while maintaining a neat and discreet appearance to ensure minimal visual impact.
  • Operate a variety of power and hand tools safely and efficiently for installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and resolve networking issues to ensure a reliable internet connection for customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, explaining services, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service requests.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that installations meet DigitalC standards for quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with two-person teams as needed to support larger installations and meet business demands.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. A relevant technical or vocational certification is a plus.
  • No prior industry experience is required, but candidates with experience in installation, cabling, or networking will be given strong consideration.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage all aspects of the job.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Must be comfortable using ladders up to 30 feet for individual installations.
  • Must be comfortable using ladders up to 40 feet for two man team installations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
