Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician to join our commercial construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in diverse commercial environments-ranging from retail spaces and office complexes to hospitals and industrial warehouses.
The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who prioritizes safety, takes pride in clean conduit runs, and can mentor apprentices while keeping projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • System Installation: Install, connect, and test electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and communications.
  • Infrastructure: Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install various types of conduit (EMT, IMC, and Rigid) and pull wire/cable through them.
  • Blueprint Proficiency: Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to ensure installations meet design intent and local codes.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in electrical systems and components, including transformers, motors, and switchgear.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and on-the-job training to electrical apprentices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the commercial electrical field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the NEC, Ohm's Law, and electrical theory.
