Our client is a leading employee-owned engineering and telecommunications services organization with more than 50 years of industry experience. Their telecommunications division provides full turnkey solutions for major clients and includes both wireline and wireless operations throughout the DMV area. Within the wireline division, they support a significant amount of ISP and telecommunications infrastructure work in healthcare environments.

They are seeking a Cable Technician Helper to support telecommunications projects at hospital locations in Baltimore, Washington DC, and surrounding counties. This individual will assist a lead technician with MAC (Move, Add, and Change) activities related to telecommunications devices and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with telecommunications MAC work
  • Support telecommunications closet build-outs
  • Rack and stack network and telecommunications equipment
  • Install and route copper and fiber cabling
  • Maintain job site cleanliness and organization
  • Assist lead technicians with daily project tasks
  • Follow healthcare facility procedures and safety requirements

Most work will involve:

  • CAT6 cabling
  • Pre-terminated fiber optic cabling
  • Phone systems
  • Telecommunications infrastructure equipment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
