About the Role:

The clinical associate physician is responsible for the care of patients in the hospital and clinics, as well as some advocacy and educational initiatives as determined by the Division Chief and/or the Center leadership.

  • Fully licensed and credentialed attending staff category physician on the medical staff of Children's National Medical Center (Required)

  • Board certified or eligible for board certification in primary practice specialty (Required)

  • Provide oversight of the medical care team and manage direct patient care for a specified patient population; improve continuity of care, customerserviceand partnerships with community medical providers throughtimelycompletion of records and communication.

  • Provide on-call services asdeterminedby thedivisionleadership.

  • Activelyparticipatein family centered care and communicate in a professional and compassionate manner; refer patients to specialists and to relevant ancillary services asappropriate.

  • Appropriatelyutilizethe defined chain of command and escalation policies.

  • Respond to team members and outside medical providers ina timelyand respectful manner; communicate clearly totraineesexpectationsregardingpatient updates and notifications of significant clinical changes, and encouragesquestions fromtrainees

The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy.
