Description:
Community Consolidated School District 89 is seeking full-time Early Childhood/PreK Long Term Substitute Teacher from approximately 8/18/2026 to 10/09/2026.  This position will be located at Briar Glen Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. 
Job Summary:  
The Early Childhood/PreK Teacher will teach a blended preschool classroom. This teacher will be tasked with implementing District policies as they relate to the classroom.  Every effort will be made to see that each student receives an equal opportunity for education by using lesson plans, both individualized and group, to adapt the curriculum to each student.  
Qualifications:
All applicants for this position are required to meet the Illinois State Board of Education requirements, including a SUB license but PEL preferred with SCGE (Birth to Grade 3), EC, SPED and EL endorsements or PreK experience desired.

Salary and Benefits:  
All certified staff are placed on a salary schedule according to education and experience as part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.  The starting BA, 1 salary for the 2026-2027 year is $57,220.00
Certified staff experience 12 sick days and 4 personal days of paid time off.  All full-time staff have the privilege of partaking in our health and dental insurance programs; these include 90% Board paid health insurance for the employee and 100% Board paid dental insurance for the individual staff member.
