Job description

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
JT4 will be hiring multiple candidates for this position with varying experience and skill levels. Salary ranges will be based on skill level and education.
JOB DUTIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
JT4 has immediate need for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) junior to senior level engineers. The key engineering disciplines involved in C4ISR systems include Signal Processing, Data Analysis, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, and Software Engineering. These disciplines are essential for the design, development, and maintenance of C4ISR systems, ensuring they meet the operational requirements and provide the necessary intelligence and support for military operations. The key engineering qualifications for C4ISR professionals include a strong background in systems engineering, IT, and military or defense communications systems. Candidates typically need a relevant degree and security clearance, along with experience in advanced communications platforms, network protocols, encryption technologies, and tools such as Link 16, radar, and sensor systems
C4ISR ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate should have experience integrating Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance technologies to enhance operational capabilities. Essential qualifications include experience in systems engineering, software development, and network security, combined with experience in defense industry standards such as DoD architecture and interoperability protocols. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with real-time data processing and sensor fusion are critical for successful mission integration and system optimization.
The C4ISR engineers will specialize in the Developmental Test, and Evaluation (DT&E) of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance solutions to enhance military and defense operations. They will coordinate between hardware and software components, ensuring seamless interoperability among sensors, communication networks, and data processing systems. Experience in cybersecurity, network architecture, and real-time data analytics is essential for optimizing mission-critical information flow and decision-making.
Individuals with strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability are suitable for a C4ISR systems engineer. Candidates who can effectively coordinate complex communication and data systems may find the job aligns well with their capabilities. Those who prefer structured teamwork and have an interest in defense or military technology might have a higher probability of success and job satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and four years of related engineering experience or have an accredited Master of Science in Engineering with at least 2 years of related engineering experience or have an accredited doctoral degree in Engineering. The candidate must have mastery of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enables the employee to serve as a technical authority on projects relating to the specific programs. The position requires sufficient knowledge and skill to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area along with excellent communication and analytical skills. The candidate must have a working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools and possess planning/organizing skills. The position may require the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
The candidate must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to top secret with special access. Must be a U.S. citizen.
