Lead Software Developer

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Developer to support the BDS Production System Analytics team in Seattle, WA, Charleston, SC, Mesa, AZ, Ridley Park, PA, St. Louis City, MO!

In this role, you will be developing a full-stack application to support manufacturing operations and facilitate factory floor worker.

Manufacturing Application Suite enables production teams to manage work statements, optimize labor charging, and proactively address non-conformances. This leads to improved shop floor execution, enhanced performance visibility, and data-driven decision-making. Additionally, these applications empower supporting functions such as production engineering by providing necessary data and insights to optimize processes, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, the Application Suite enables teams to meet production targets, improve quality, and foster a culture of

ongoing improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participates in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation,

  • and deployment

  • Works across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable

  • positive user experiences and measurable business growth

  • Develops new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and

  • project requirements

  • Assumes leadership of new projects, from conceptualization to deployment

  • Ensures application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code

  • quality and application design

  • Architects and provides guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and

  • scale

  • Engages with designers and front-end engineers and collaborate with leading back-end

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in a manufacturing, assembly and/or aerospace environment

  • Experience in data science, quantitative research science, or data analytics
