To be considered for Customer Service Technician, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • 5 years of related Electromechanical assemblies experience or related manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read/interpret manufacturing prints, documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports & correspondence.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing, Spreadsheet and Word Processing software, such as MS Excel & MS Word.
  • Experience with the set-up of testing processes and Acceptable Test Procedures.
  • Good mechanical aptitude, good eyesight with the ability to identify and distinguish color, must be able to use a Soldering Iron, microscope.
  • Have good dexterity
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.

As a Customer Service Technician, you will:
  • Use a variety of routine and non-routine tasks and moderately complex electro-mechanical tests.
  • Perform an analysis of all rejected motor assemblies, determining whether to repair, rework, or scrap.
  • Verify rejects by performing electrical and mechanical tests, determining which parts do not conform to specifications.
  • Reworks units, when possible, to customer specifications.
  • Work with Quality Engineers, Design Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers to identify root cause specific failures and irregularities.
  • Ensures production and customer service quality standards are met while helping in achieving delivery goals by performing the following duties.
    A. Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures/results using Outlook, Excel and Teamcenter.
    B. Reads/interprets test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedures and required equipment.
    C. Assists in maintaining and verifying final tests equipment, cables, breadboards and setups used to evaluate motor and part set performance. Performing reworks when necessary
    D. Compares results with specifications and records test data.
    E. Troubleshoot basic electronic and mechanical assembly problems.
    F. Analyzes test results on defective units to determine cause of failure.
    G. Performs basic mechanical assembly utilizing small hand tools and crimpers.
    H. Performs assembly, touch-up and final assembly of Production when required.
    I. Assist in training when required.
