Job description

Title:
C-130 Aircraft Systems SME
Program Summary:
KBR is seeking a highly experienced C-130 Systems SME to provide advanced technical support for propeller systems, including the T56-A-15, 54H60, and NP2000 propeller assemblies with advanced knowledge of fuel systems, avionics, and aircraft structures.
This role supports Air Force and international mobility customers by delivering propulsion performance analysis, fleet sustainment
engineering, and airworthiness evaluations for legacy and modernized C-130
platforms.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide propulsion engineering support for T56-A-15 engine performance, reliability, and maintenance optimization
  • Conduct propeller system evaluations for 54H60 and NP2000, including vibration analysis, blade tracking, and propeller balancing
  • Review and interpret technical orders (T.O. 2J-T56 series, 54H60, NP2000) and depot-level repair documentation
  • Support investigations into propeller control system issues, gearbox anomalies, and blade-root failures
  • Develop engineering recommendations for propeller upgrades, including NP2000 retrofit programs
  • Coordinate with OEMs, depot facilities, and government engineering authorities to resolve technical issues
  • Prepare engineering reports, maintenance advisories, and modification proposals
  • Support field investigations, depot visits, and technical assistance requests.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation related field
  • Experience with C-130 propulsion and propeller systems, including T56, 54H60, and NP2000
  • Knowledge of C-130H propulsion integration, maintenance processes, and sustainment engineering
  • Ability to interpret technical orders, engineering drawings, and maintenance data
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Clearance eligibility required
