Engineering Lead (Mgr.) - Technical Services Group, Inc. - BWSR, LLC - Idaho Falls, ID
BWSR LLC is the overhaul Program Subcontractor at the Naval Reactors Facility in Idaho Falls, ID. The main project areas at the site include remediation of historical research facilities, characterization of site-infrastructure to support on-going maintenance and construction.
Job Description / Duties:
  • Leads and is accountable for an engineering team. Mentors junior engineers.
  • Reviews and approves engineering deliverables (such as technical work documents and drawings) to support construction and infrastructure upgrade projects at the Naval Reactors Facility. Ensures that engineered solutions meet all safety, radiological, and environmental engineering requirements.
  • Resolves engineering issues and interfaces with other BWSR departments and customer organizations.
  • Participates in project management team including coordinating project engineering activities and assignments.
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
  • Decisions are guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance from department manager.
  • Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems that impact effectiveness.
  • Maintains project related documentation and prepare required reports.
  • Maintain knowledge of technical requirements applicable to the assigned scopes of work.

Job Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science from an Engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Structural) is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of related engineering experience is required.
  • Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program experience is strongly preferred.
  • Supervisory experience and the ability to lead and mentor an engineering team is highly desirable.
  • Engineering and experience in related support areas (such as asbestos abatement, hazardous materials, fall protection, etc.) is a plus.
  • Must be a US Citizen. No dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance. A current clearance is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all Naval Reactors required qualifications.

Pay: $ 92,000 - $ 142,000
The base salary range for this position in Idaho (US-ID) at the start of employment is expected to be between $92,000 and $142,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
