Job Description

Summary:

The Representativesare responsible forthe investigation, evaluation,negotiationand settlement of claims. This includes analyzing coverage, contacting the customers, investigating the facts surrounding the loss, arranging inspection, experts, and third parties. Representativesare required tounderstand andcomply withInsurance Regulations, Statutes, and case law accordingly. The Representatives work closely with other departments,vendorsand defense counsel as needed throughout the claim process.

Employees in this roleare required toaccurately record all hours worked andsubmittimesheetsin accordance withcompany policy. Overtime may be assigned as business needsdictate, and employees are expected to work overtime whenrequired.

This is a 100%in-office position. Candidates must be able to work on-site at a designated company office during standard business hours.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Handles personal auto non-injury liability claims, which includes first and thirdparty, repairable losses.

  • Demonstratesresponsibility for handling first andthird partyclaims, including injury and property damage.

  • Handles multiple lines of business with a moderate level of complexity.

  • Demonstratesresponsibility for investigating coverage issues and/or liability as needed.

  • Confirms coverage and the facts of loss through theinitialinvestigation.

  • Determinestheappropriate methodof inspection or review of facts.

  • Makes liabilitydeterminationbased on investigation and the applicable negligence law.

  • Ensurescompliance with state regulations and requirements.

  • Focuses on properfact-gathering,investigationand resolution of all claims.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • 2 years of claims or related experience.

  • MaintainContinuing Education (CE) requirements for state licensing whenappropriate.

  • Completion ofappropriate trainingon vendor and system application to ensure quality claim handling.

  • Ability to obtain required adjuster license for NY and TX.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field orthe equivalentyears' work experience.

Salary range is $43452 - $67500
