Job description

Buzz & Bustle is Dallas's local craft coffee house and grab-and-go market, serving house-roasted beans, fresh pastries, and thoughtfully made lunch options in a welcoming community space.
As a Line Cook, you'll be at the heart of our culinary experience, crafting mouthwatering bites. If you're ready to infuse your cooking skills with nostalgia and creativity, we want you on our team!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure that all food prepared is of consistently high quality and that portions are consistently controlled. Food tickets are complete and out in a timely manner.
  • Set up/prep station before service, maintains throughout service, and breaks down station according to kitchen standards daily
  • Maintains neat, professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times
  • Keep par stocks at proper levels. Increase or decrease production as necessary
  • Inform management of any problems concerning food quality or production control

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
  • ServSafe certified
  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
  • Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock
