Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive sourcing process for Direct material sourcing, including issuing RFQ's and leading negotiations for assigned categories across all Clarience Technologies' business units
  • Develop and drive cost savings / continuous improvement projects for assigned categories
  • Identify technology trends and opportunities that the business units should consider and capitalize on when developing new products or refreshing current products
  • Work to mitigate supplier requested and commodity-driven price increases
  • Drive procurement process improvement activities across all Clarience Technologies' business units along with developing strong cross-functional relationships
  • Support business units in addressing/solving supplier quality & delivery issues
  • Provide input into global category strategies and developing best-in-class supply base that supports the needs of Clarience Technologies' and related business units
  • Ensure effective communication of initiatives, progress, and potential issues to the broader business organization
  • Support procurement financial reporting and reconciliation, including Purchasing Price Variance (PPV) reporting
  • Manage price changes in ERP/MRP systems
  • Support data gathering/population for global Supplier Scorecards and sourcing process
  • Support management of supplier crises to ensure supply continuity
  • Be a student of learning and leverage AI to achieve superior results
  • Sr. Buyer (vs. Buyer) will be assigned more complex/critical categories
  • Sr. Buyer (vs. Buyer) will be expected to contribute more to improving procurement processes & procedures and development of category strategies

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S):
  • Undergraduate degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Management, and/or relevant education and experience
  • An MBA is advantageous but not essential

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):
  • Buyer: 2-4 Years of experience in a global Procurement/Supply Chain organization, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Sr. Buyer: 4-5+ Years of experience in a global Procurement/Supply Chain organization, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
