This role is responsible for supervising department associates, maintaining merchandising standards, managing inventory, and supporting sales and profitability objectives. The Butcher Block Supervisor leads by example in delivering a superior fresh meat shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities Department Operations- Supervise daily Butcher Block operations to ensure efficient execution and exceptional product presentation.
- Ensure fresh meat and specialty products are properly cut, packaged, labeled, displayed, and rotated.
- Maintain attractive, fully stocked service cases and merchandising displays.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and replenishment activities.
- Minimize shrink through proper handling, rotation, and inventory control practices.
- Ensure department cleanliness and organization in accordance with company standards.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
- Assist customers with product selection, preparation recommendations, cooking suggestions, and special orders.
- Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Promote department sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling techniques.
- Supervise, train, coach, and develop Butcher Block associates.
- Coordinate daily work assignments to ensure operational efficiency and customer service standards are met.
- Foster a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
