Position Overview

Diaconia is seeking a Business Process Technology SME to support a federal civilian customer's enterprise data modernization program. This role supports a mission-critical, nationwide case-management and intelligence-analysis platform that integrates enterprise reporting, data visualization, analytics, enterprise search, AI/ML-enabled enrichment, and business process workflows across multiple regions.


The Business Process Technology SME will serve as the reporting team lead for enterprise reporting, data visualization, analytics, business process technology, and reporting modernization activities. The role will help deliver accurate, timely, mission-relevant reporting and analytical products while supporting modernization and O&M across the customer's data ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the reporting team lead and subject matter expert for enterprise reporting and business process technology activities.

- Lead reporting modernization efforts across enterprise reporting, analytics, and visualization environments.

- Provide technical and management leadership on major tasks and technology assignments.

- Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives; supervise others as needed.

- Lead dashboard development, visualization, and enterprise reporting support using Power BI, SSRS, and related tools.

- Support development, enhancement, maintenance, and administration of reporting capabilities across the customer's data ecosystem.

- Develop and deliver high-quality data systems, reports, analytical products, and features.

- Provide O&M support for existing data systems, including enterprise data warehouse integrations, enterprise reporting, dashboards, and reporting data extracts.

- Support enterprise search/OpenSearch, APIs, BI capabilities, and AI/ML module integration as part of the broader enterprise data ecosystem.

- Interface with working groups, stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to identify, clarify, document, and prioritize reporting requirements.

- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, dashboards, reports, workflows, and technical specifications.

- Respond to time-sensitive data calls and reporting requests from stakeholders, including executive or leadership-driven requests.

- Support deployment and sustainment of enterprise-wide reporting tools and visualizations.

- Lead team planning, organization, execution, and implementation of reporting-related initiatives.

- Monitor user needs, support tickets, and reporting issues; coordinate resolution with technical teams and stakeholders.

- Develop and update documentation, wikis, reporting procedures, quick reference guides, workflows, and business process materials.

- Support Agile Scrum or Kanban ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, production deployment coordination, and stakeholder demonstrations.

- Provide recommendations to improve reporting processes, data visualization capabilities, business intelligence, and business process automation.

- Support modernization of the data ecosystem across cloud and non-cloud technology stacks

Minimum Requirements


-U.S. Citizenship required.

- Active U.S. government Secret clearance or higher required at proposal submission.

- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience required.

- Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

- A Master's degree or higher may reduce the required experience by two years.

- 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced Agile development environment.

- 5+ years of strong technical experience using data management and visualization software.

- Experience deploying enterprise-wide reporting tools and visualizations.

- 5+ years of experience leading a team, including planning, organizing, and implementing significant strategic initiatives.

- Experience with Power BI or comparable business intelligence and visualization platforms.

- Experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into reporting, dashboard, workflow, or analytical solutions.

- Experience supporting enterprise data, reporting, analytics, O&M, modernization, or cloud-enabled business intelligence environments.

-  Must be able to be ON SITE 3 days or as required by the client. 

- Occasional CONUS travel may be required 


Preferred Qualifications


- Power BI experience strongly preferred.

- Experience with SSRS, Microsoft Power BI Server, O365 Power BI Services, SQL Server, enterprise data warehouse reporting, or    enterprise analytics environments.

- Experience supporting federal civilian, law enforcement, investigative, intelligence, or sensitive mission data environments.

- Experience responding to executive-level, time-sensitive data calls.

- Experience with Azure DevOps, Agile Kanban, Scrum, user stories, acceptance criteria, and reporting sprint delivery.

- Experience documenting reporting procedures, QRGs, business processes, and data structures.
