Responsibilities

Job Summary 

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into functional and system requirements. This role focuses on optimizing business processes, supporting system enhancements, and enabling effective use of enterprise systems to drive business outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements 
  • Translate business needs into clear system requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria 
  • Analyze existing business processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement 
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and product owners to design, configure, and implement system solutions 
  • Support end-to-end system lifecycle activities, including planning, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support 
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to align stakeholders on requirements and solution design 
  • Develop and maintain documentation and artifacts such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), and process maps and data flow diagrams 
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case development and defect triage 
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, data governance, and security policies 
  • Act as a change agent by supporting training, documentation, and user adoption efforts 
  • Monitor solution performance and recommend system enhancements based on business feedback and metrics 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a similar role 
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as CRM/Salesforce, ERP, HRIS, or data/reporting systems 
  • Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements 
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and/or SAFe methodologies 
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language (and vice versa) 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Visio, or Lucid 
  • Experience with process modeling (e.g., BPMN), data analysis, or system integrations/APIs 
  • Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe Agilist) or business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA)

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $67,000 - $83,800 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
